Narrated by Major Myron Greene, D.D.S., this program begins with the original formation of army regiments from Rochester and Buffalo, New York. We are then taken to Camp Stewart, Georgia to witness basic combat training. From there, we are then transported overseas to duty in Ireland and Africa. The program then moves to service in Italy, from Naples to 100 miles north of Rome, including Cassino and Anizio. Next is the 6th hour of the invasion of France, the crossing of the Rhine River into Germany, and on to Munich. Finally you see firsthand the atrocities and human tragedy associated with the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp.
