Laurel and Hardy: Early to Bed

The boys apparently broke; bumming in the park with their little dog. But, a ray of hope: Babe reads a letter, and his face lights up. "I am very rich" he confides to Stan. In fact, he's inherited a fortune. Stan begins to cry, what's to become of him? No problem, Hardy simply makes him his butler and keeper, as we quickly learn. For Ollie becomes a confirmed night person, and with just enough Prohibition-Era champagne to put an "edge" on. Butler Stan tries to get the playful Ollie in the rack before dawn, but with little success. Stan tries to quit, but Ollie says no. So, Stan sets out to get fired. Comedy results. Copyright 1928.
