American Challenge

Featured here are two very different American assaults on Europe. In 1978, Daytona 200 winner Steve Baker went after the Formula 750 World Championship. The series died shortly thereafter, and Baker settled for a footnote in 2-wheeled history. Then, fast-forward to 1982 and the emergence of another American hero. It's the Belgian GP at the the famed Spa Francorchamp circuit. The star of the show is a guy named Freddie Spencer...and this is vintage "Fast Freddie!"
