Buried in Ice

In 1845, two ships, the Erebus and Terror, led by Sir John Franklin, set out to complete the charting of the Northwest Passage. For 10 years, nothing was heard from the expedition. In 1855, a salvage operation (similar to that in "Aliens") uncovered the first evidence indicating the extent of the tragedy. Recently, Dr. Owen Beattie led an expedition to Beechey Island and exhumed the bodies to discover what caused this tragedy.
