Edison's Miracle of Light

Narrated by Peter Coyote. After announcing a daring scheme to produce electric light for consumer use and predicting that oil lamps and gas light would soon be obsolete, Thomas Edison, the deaf and eccentric "wizard of Menlo Park", became caught up in a web of personal, patent and corporate battles. Seen by some as a godlike figure who could manipulate lightning, by others as a satanic figure who had challenged God's order, Edison in the end revolutionized the world, yet lost control of the industry he founded.
