Paths of Life: American Indians of the Southwest

This program tells the stories of ten native American groups of the Southwest; how they came to choose and follow their own distinctive cultures and histories. This explores how each group has been shaped by its own view of its origins, traditional values and beliefs, the landscape, historical events and interactions with other people of the region. This program reveals how the Hopi, Navajo, Apache, Seri, Yaqui, O'dam , Tarahumara, Yumans, Pai and Southern Paiute responded to rapid changes in American Society and how they maintain their cultural identity today.
