40 Years of MJQ

The Modern Jazz Quartet's fortieth anniversary concert presents the signature sounds that ensured the group's lasting legacy in the history of music. Filmed live in Stuttgart, Germany, the Quartet is backed by the lush sound of a full string orchestra. John Lewis (Piano), Percy Heath (Bass), Milt Jackson (Vibes) and Mickey Roker (subbing for Connie Kay) perform: "Three Windows Medley", "Sketch", "Alexander's Fugue", "Adagio from Concierto de Aranjues" and "A Day in Dubrovnik".
