A musical legend of the 20th century, Frankie Yankovic was crowned America's Polka King in a national contest held in Milwaukee, WI in 1948. This same year he had two multi-million selling single recordings, "Just Because" and "The Blue Skirt Waltz". In 1969, he was the first person inducted into the Polka Hall of Fame and in 1986 he received the first Polka Grammy Award.
