Land of the Kiwi

Ancient people called it "the land of the long white cloud." The two islands we call New Zealand are still creations of nature at it's most magnificent. In these islands are flora and fauna that hold important clues to pre-history, since they no longer exist anywhere else on earth. Inhabited by strange dinosaur-like reptiles, bizarre glow-worms and birds, like the kiwi, who've forgotten how to fly. In this land of "living fossils", some birds nest beneath the snow, while huge volcanoes and geysers continue to erupt, and primeval forests sink slowly into swamps. "Land of the Kiwi" reveals a place where evolution is unfolding in vivid ways.
