Weather forecasting is a matter of life and death. It has brought down empires, caused spectacular disasters, and even won wars. Bad weather forecasting probably cost the Germans W.W.II. In the electronic age, successful forecasting is more important than ever, the only trouble is, it's one of the most difficult feats of modern science. Powerful computers and the latest satellite technology are making forecasts more accurate. But we are still limited by the unpredictability of nature and her awesome power.
