National Parks of the West by TrainThis spectacular documentary chronicles a unique journey organized by the American Museum of Natural History to explore the natural wonders of the West aboard the elegant American Orient Express. From this magnificent train, the ten day journey witnesses the unforgettable and awesome power of nature to shape the land into areas of extraordinary beauty. Starting in Denver at the Front Range of the Rockies, the journey heads to Rocky Mountain National Park and on through the mountains to the Golden Spike National Historic Site in Utah where the nation's first transcontinental rail line opened the way west. You will also travel through Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Sunset Crater, and the ancient pueblos and cliff dwellings of the Sinagua, Zuni and Anasazi peoples. After crossing the Painted Desert the trip reaches its end in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Two tape set.
