Earth Science: Continents Adrift

Through animation and live action, the film examines paleomagnetism, sea-floor spreading, magnetism in rock and the drifting magnetic poles to illustrate the continental drift. Tomorrow's quake through live-action and animation, the film explores: continental drift, dilatency, plate tectonics, earthquake waves, seismic velocity changes, tiltmeters...and much more. The exciting conclusion shows motion pictures of an actual earthquake-one that was predicted.
