Splint Basketry Weaving I

The course begins with a bit of historical background on styles shapes and materials. You will learn which materials to use and how to prepare them as you weave an Appalachian egg basket. (The intricate "God's eye" that begins the basket is shown for both left and right handers.) You will learn several basket variations, and how to finish a basket. Technical tips solve many problems you might encounter and inspiration for other splint baskets concludes the course. Award winner at the 17th National Educational Video Conference 1987.
