Chicken Scratch

Instructor: Stephanie Hedgepath of Pegasus Designs. Originating in Europe as the "lace stitch," Chicken Scratch is worked primarily on checkered gingham. In this tape, the viewer is instructed in the three basic stitches of this craft: double cross stitch, running stitch and the weaving stitch. Stitching on specialty fabrics is demonstrated as well as experimenting with ribbon. Instructions and pattern for a heart design are included.
