Scarlett Dolls, An Alexander Tradition, 1937-1991

This documentary video traces the fascinating evolution of the Scarlett O'Hara dolls by Madame Alexander and the Alexander Doll Co.-- from the early composition models in 1937, with footage of rare composition Scarletts, through the hard plastic and vinyl eras, and concludes with the porcelain Scarlett doll of 1991. More than 85 Scarlett dolls, plus "Gone With The Wind" memorabilia and rare photographs of Madame Beatrice Alexander are featured. This program also contains an original music score.
