Learn how to weave beautiful edgings & finishes for your woven pieces. After a demonstration of how a traditional large backstrap loom works, you'll quickly make a small 1" to 2" wide warp and learn how to weave a plainweave flat band. Then you'll progress to a flat patterned band, a tubular plain band, a tubular patterned band and finally a tubular patterned band that is attached to the edge of another woven piece while the band itself is being woven. Patterns for all bands are enclosed with the video, including the complex and beautiful crossed & diverted warp tubular weave "the little band of many eyes". These exquisite finishes are like those you see on ponchos and coco bags from Peru and Bolivia.
