My Hair's Falling Out....Am I Still Pretty?

This educational video is an entertaining and informative program for not only children with cancer, their families and friends, but a broad spectrum of viewers who have the compassion and the desire to experience a unique and poignant story that celebrates one child's experience. This program combines live action, dance, animation and music to tell a story about two children who are hospital roommates living with the uncertainty of childhood cancer. It's told from the point of view of a physician who had cancer as a child. Diagnostic tests are explained and the effects of chemotherapy and hair loss are sensitively explored. This program supports the view that cancer doesn't discriminate and can be conquered. Winner of the Parents' Choice Silver Honor 1996.
