The answer: everyone should have basic first-aid instruction. This program concentrates on the ABC's of emergency rescue-airway, breathing and circulation. The emphasis is on speed, simplicity and efficiency. Shock and fractures are discussed. Questions with multiple choice answers are visually and dramatically posed. Scenes are cinematically displayed so viewers can analyze and respond. Treating Injuries: Some 36 million Americans are injured in the home each year; 6,000 die of poisoning. Many of these injuries are not life- threatening, but improper care can result in fatal complications. This program concentrates on specific treatment for burns, choking, poisoning and heat stroke. Questions with multiple choices are posed within accident vignettes. Cinematic delays enable viewers to identify and respond as through it were an actual emergency.
