Art of Pressure: Basic Course in Japanese Massage and AcupressureThis two-part video workshop teaches the basic techniques of Japanese Massage & Acupressure, a five thousand year old form of bodywork that uses no oils and can be done through the clothing. In Part one using a live model, and a skeleton, David Palmer illustrates meridians, acupressure points, and the musculature system. You'll learn how to apply pressure using fingers, palms and forearms, as well where to apply pressure for maximum relaxation and enjoyment. Part two consists of a twenty minute form developed at the AMMA Institute in San Francisco. You are taken non-stop through the entire massage sequence. Used for practicing with to develop proper pacing and timing after part one has been mastered.
