Perils of Plastic: Handling Credit

This program begins with a brief look at how credit fuels our economy and how advertisers entice consumers to go into debt to supposedly improve their social status. Then goes on to describe what credit is and why it is needed, the advantages and disadvantages of using credit, how credit is obtained and how credit ratings work. Viewers also learn how to establish credit, how to use it wisely, the importance of good credit and how it affects their futures. This presentation concludes with the danger signs of being over-extended and methods for dealing with the problem if it occurs.
