Angels: Messengers of the Gods

From an historical perspective, this video looks at the psycho/social significance of angel ideology via the art and literature of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity as well as in the mythologies, legends and folk lore of Native American, Asian and African cultures. Angels will provide an "Angel Anthology" of sorts, exploring popular angelogical tenets such as Guardian Angels, Archangels, Angels of War (accounts of angels intervening on the battlefield), Angels of Death, as well as angelic hierarchies, language, form and function.
