Majestic Mikado

Built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1911, the "Majestic Mikado" joined the mighty Southern fleet and ran the rails for 37 years. You'll see a "fun run" of this old locomotive, on an excursion called the "Dixie Limited". Leaving Richmond, Virginia, you'll hear her sprinting for Keysville where you'll disembark and join the "Dixie Days Festival" which features jazz bands, home cooking, and handmade arts and crafts. Then it's back to Richmond. A fine tribute to a great locomotive.
