Santa Fe 3751 - Return to Steam

The long-awaited return to steam power to Santa Fe rails took place in December, 1991, after 10 years of restoration effort. The 4-8-4 Northern type steam locomotive performed flawlessly on its maiden run from Los Angles, over Cajon Pass to Barstow, then around Tehachapi Loop to Bakersfield and return.
