An expanded triple bill of great WW II aviation action, including: 1) "The Memphis Belle": On-the-spot story of the legendary B-17 daylight raids over Germany, followed by the flight crew of the gallant Memphis Belle as they become part of the 1st bomber command on Saipan. 2) "Target Tokyo": Giant B-29 Super Forts flatten Nakajima aircraft plant. Narrated by Ronald Reagan. Rare footage of "Dauntless Dottie", last of the WW II giant bombers. Enemy flak and fighters couldn't stop them. 3) "Thunder-bolt": Outstanding gun camera coverage of the fabled P-47 "jugs" as they race up the boot of Italy. Deadly air to air and ground action-aerial combat footage at its best.
