War in the Sky

A fascinating two-part documentary featuring the U.S. pilots, ground crews and aircraft that struck at Nazi Germany during World War II. Director William Myler (who directed Ben Hur and The Best Years of Our Lives) made these films, now on video, in 1944 for the U.S. Army Air Corps: 1) "Thunderbolt," the P47 Fighter; and 2) "Memphis Belle," the B17 Bomber.
