Friendship In Quest of The Universe

Code named "Friendship 7" This space mission piloted by John Glenn was Americas official entry into the Global Space Race with the Soviet Union. Already in second place the success of the mission was of paramount importance to the president John F. Kennedy and to America as a whole dramatic, Friendship 7 to orbit the earth's atmosphere and safely splash down. The mission proved instrumental in America's successful attempt at beating the Soviets to the moon.
