The Merrys had the rare privilege of being invited to film the Sumo wrestlers in training, they mingle with the crowds in the Asakusa temple and participate in a wedding ceremony at the Meiji Shrine. On Hokkaido they visit the mysterious Ainu and film hot springs and active volcanoes. In addition to the famous gardens, parks and temples, the Merrys focus on the people and the spirit of Japan. On Shikoku they hike along with pilgrims who were visiting the 88 temples of that island, and are invited by a crowd of youngsters to go white water rafting.
