Glazing Techniques

Glazing techniques are discussed in the fifth tape. After describing the preparation of a bisqued piece (cleaning and applying wax resist to the bottom) for glaxing, Carole demonstrates some simple techniques: single and two-tone dipping, overlapping two glazes to create a third color and pouring. Two other potters then demonstrate underglazing on greenware, using wax resist for decorative purposes and on-glaze decorating.
