Master Craftsman Jerry Syfert takes the viewer through constructing a basic box to creating beautifully designed laminated boxes. First he constructs and finishes a plain box and lid from a block of wood. Then he presents the laminating process covering wood selections, gluing, clamping, and squaring. Designs are created by rearranging the laminated pieces. Syfert works in his well equipped shop using a variety of power tools including a band saw, router, and jointer.
